NOTES: James Wyatt II designed and began construction of Ashridge Park. On his death in 1813 his eldest son, Benjamin Dean, completed the work already in hand at the house, while his nephew, Sir Jeffry Wyatville (while still plain Jeffry Wyatt), took over as architect and designed large extensions to the east and west sides of the new house.
