NOTES: Built as the headquarters for the British Medical Association, this building served as the High Commission Southern Rhodesia from 1923 until the Rhodesian Unilateral Declaration of Independence on November 11, 1965. It remained a representative office until the colony gained independence as Zimbabwe in 1980 and has since been known as Zimbabwe House. Dunn & Co, famous men's hatters and outfitters, had a shop on the ground floor of the building, which in the plan for the BMA was intended for commercial letting. In the Who's Who in Architecture 1914 Fermaud is listed as designing 'shop fronts and fittings for Dunn & Co.'s branches.'
