NOTES: Many of the warehouses here were badly damaged and some completedly destroyed during the Great Fire of Tooley Street in 1861. The fire burnt fiercely for two days and it was two weeks before it was fully put out. Architects William Snooke and Henry Stock who were responsible the original construction carried out the rebuilding, which lasted until the late 1880s. This building dates from 1887 and was known as the Counting House.
