Haestakaupstaoarhus, Haestikaupstaour (Upper Town), Isafjordur Old Town

NOTES: This house in Haestikaupstaour (the Upper Town) was built in 1788 by Norwegian traders for the manager of one of the trading companies. Its construction using double-plank walls was unique in Iceland. Many of the extant buildings in Isafjordur Old Town were brought prefabricated to Iceland by foreign merchants from their home countries.
