Playhouse Theatre, High Street, Weston-super-Mare, Somerset: the auditorium seen from the emergency exit balcony

NOTES: This theatre occupies the site of the former market that closed in 1946. It was soon after converted into a 500-seat theatre. It underwent a major refit in the 1960s but was almost completely destroyed by fire in 1964. It was rebuilt by W. S. Hattrell & Partners and reopened in 1969.
