NOTES: The original Devonshire House, the London home of the Dukes of Devonshire, was designed by William Kent and completed around 1740. It was demolished in 1924 and the new Devonshire House, to house offices, flats and car showrooms, was completed in 1926 to the designs of Thomas Hastings of Carrere & Hastings (the architects of the New York Public Library at Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street).
