NOTES: The Gate of Honour is 1573-1575, to the design of John Caius, although who executed it is not precisely known. The Waterhouse building, so named after the architect Alfred Waterhouse was a rebuilding of the earlier 17th century buildings on the site in a neo-Renaissance style in 1868-1870. Just see on the right is the rear of the Senate House (1722-1730) by James Gibbs.
