NOTES: The exhibition, 'Thirties: British art and design before the war', was held at the Hayward Gallery from 25 October 1979 - 13 January 1980. The exhibition was designed by Neave Brown, assisted by Julian Feary. The design for the bathroom was commissioned by Edward James for this wife, the dancer Tilly Losch, from the artist Paul Nash in 1932.
