NOTES: This original drawing was one of a number produced for the publication 'Italian Gardens of the Renaissance' by John Chiene Shepherd and Geoffrey Alan Jellicoe (London, 1925). The gardens of the Villa Lancellotti Piccolomini later became a public park known as the 'Ombrellino'.
