Waddesdon Manor, Buckinghamshire: the Rocco style trelliswork pergola with an eighteenth century sculpture ascribed to Giovanni Baratta in the background

NOTES: This manor was built in French-Renaissance style by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild in 1874-1880 to display his collection of art treasures and as a place to entertain his fashionable and influential friends. Designed by Gabriel Hippolyte Destailleur, it is the last complete example of 'le style Rothschild' outside Frankfurt.
