Comparative Arches: This drawing first appeared in the 6th edition of Sir Banister Fletcher’s A History of Architecture. Published in 1921, that edition included an expanded text as well as a new suite of line drawings with others revised and updated. This plate is used to illustrate the glossary in the new 21st edition.
