Abbaye de Mont St Michel: La Salle des Chevaliers

NOTES: The abbey is located on the highest point of the island and was built between the 11th and 13th centuries. This hall of four vaulted aisles below the cloisters was originally the scriptorium. After 1469 it was used for the early chapters of the Order of St Michael and was known as Hall of the Knights.
