NOTES: Formerly the Regatta Hotel, built in 1840, this is the oldest hotel in Perth. It underwent significant remodelling and renovation in which the art deco facade and some parts of the interior were preserved as part of the Heritage Conservation. It reopened as The Criterion in 1996.

NOTES: Edinburgh Town Council invited Robert Adam to design Charlotte Square in 1791. Only the north side of the Square was finished before his death in 1792.
