NOTES: The original medieval church was destroyed by fire in 1675 and the present church is a rebuilding of 1676-1680, possibly to designs by Henry Bell of King's Lynn, the appointed surveyor. The chancel was redmodelled in 1888-1890 by Edmund Law in imitation of the original Baroque style.
