Notes NOTES: This is the monument commemorating the victims of the terrorist attack on March 11, 2004, in Madrid's Atocha station. It is a cylindrical building made of solid blocks of moulded glass, which are glued together with clear acrylic adhesive to give the wall structure a seamless permeability. Inside is a clear membrane printed with commemorative messages that were left by people after the explosion. At night, the natural daylight is replaced by a sophisticated system of illumination that reproduces the variablity of sunlight.
