NOTES:
Nesfield was commissioned by the Mount-Temple family to redesign and extend the earlier villa of Babbacombe Cliff, transforming it into the house illustrated in these designs. Its decoration included tiles by William Morris and a painted window by Edward Burne-Jones. Oscar Wilde was a regular visitor to the house.
