Bangor Cathedral, Gwynedd

NOTES: The original Norman church was destroyed following attacks by the Normans, the English and finally the Welsh in 1402. Rebuilding began in 1480 and the west tower was completed by 1532. Further alterations were made during the Victorian restoration and reconstruction designed by Sir Gilbert Scott in 1868 and completed under the supervision of his son, John Oldrid Scott, by 1884.
