NOTES:
Construction on the church was begun in 1549 by Gabriele Riccardi, and was completed in 1679. The elaborate main portal and the two lateral doorways of the west facade were added in 1606 under the direction of Francesco Antonio Zimbalo. The church was completed by his successors, Cesare Penna (the upper facade and the rose window), and Giuseppe Zimbalo (decoration of the upper facade) by 1695.
