Notes NOTES: This drawing is numbered XIII/9 in the Burlington-Devonshire Collection. Palladio was commisioned to build the basilica in Vicenza in 1549. This drawing represents an early design for the scheme. Palladio was asked to prepare preliminary drawings and models for the Vicenza council before his design was finally approved.
