NOTES: This original drawing was one of a number produced for the publication 'Italian Gardens of the Renaissance' by John Chiene Shepherd and Geoffrey Alan Jellicoe (London, 1925). The fountain at the centre of the Isolotto piazza in the Boboli Gardens was executed in 1576 by Giambologna. The original fountain was removed and replaced with a copy in the early 20th century.
