NOTES: This house, which forms part of The Paragon designed by Michael Searles in 1794-1807, was considerably damaged during World War II and was written off by the War Damage Commission as a total loss. It was subsequently listed by the Ministry of Town and County Planning as a building of architectural merit and funds were made available to convert the house into seven self-contained flats designed by Charles Bernard Brown in 1950-1958.
