NOTES: The Chantry Chapel was built by Thomas West, 9th Lord de la Warr, Lord of the Manor of Halnaker and patron of the priory, in 1532. He was never buried here since he was forced to exchange Boxgrove Priory for an estate in Hampshire in 1538 when the priory was dissolved.
