NOTES: Commissioned by Bristol Museum and Library for 'the promotion of Science, Literature and the Fine Arts' in 1867, the Venetian Gothic facade was badly bomb damaged in the Blitz during World War II. It was thereafter restored and became a restaurant in 1992.
