NOTES: The cathedral which is on the site of the city's Almohad Mosque was constructed in 1402-1506. In 1511 the dome collapsed and was repaired, but collapsed again in 1888 following an earthquake. The Giralda bell tower, just seen here was on the site of the mineret of the former mosque.
