NOTES: The cathedral, built on the site of an early Christian baslica, is thought to have begun in the 12th century. It was largely finished in 1285, except for the main portal which was completed in 1324. The campanile was begun in the 15th century, but only the lowest storey was completed at that time. It was finally finished in 1892 by Thomas Graham Jackson, who relied on the design of the campanile at Rab for his solution.
