Church of St James (Jacobskirche), Altstadt, Lubeck: the Arp Schnitger organ and loft on the west wall

NOTES: This three-nave brick church replaced an earlier Romanesque church destroyed by the great fire of 1276 and was completed by 1300. This organ was destroyed during the Allied bombing raid on 28-29 March 1942 in which a fifth of the city was destroyed.
