SOURCE: Colen Campbell. Vitruvius Britannicus (London, 1715), vol. I, pl. 11 NOTES: This was built as a parish church in Baroque style in 1710-1715 by Thomas Archer, the tower being completed in 1725. The chancel was enlarged in 1883-1884 by J.A. Chatwin. It gained cathedral status in 1905. See RIBA68720 for the drawing from which the engraving was made.
