NOTES: Located atop East Cliff overlooking the sea, the church is reached either via the 199 steps known as 'Church Stairs' or the footpath along the cliff known as Caedmon's Trod. The tower and basic structure of this fortress-like church are Norman and date from 1110. The interiors were remodelled in the 18th century.
