NOTES: The publicly funded Wilberforce Monument, a Doric column, was designed by W H Clark of Leeds and built by Myers & Wilson of Carr Lane. Erected originally by Princes Dock in 1834, a year after Wilberforce's death, and moved to the eastern end of the newly laid out Queens Gardens in 1835.
