NOTES: Located in the heart of the old city, this building for the Architects' Institute of Catalonia (COAC) was designed by Xavier Busquets i Sindreu in 1958-1962. The murals 'Els Tres Frisos de la Mediterrania' adorning the building were designed by Pablo Picasso in 1960.

NOTES: Lee House, designed by Sir John Burnet Tait & Partners, was one of the six office towers constructed between 1957 and 1976 which, together with the Museum of London, formed the western flank of the London Wall development. This 16-storey podium block was demolished in 1990 and replaced by Alban Gate, now known as 125 London Wall.

NOTES: The Swiss Cottage Swimming Baths and Central Library were the only completed buildings of a scheme for a civic centre in Hampstead. These baths and Coventry Central Baths, designed by Coventry City Architects Department in 1966, were the only complexes of the period to be built with three pools.

NOTES: The University of York was founded in 1963 and work on its campus facilities in the grounds of Heslington Hall was begun in 1964. The first two colleges, Langwith and Derwent, accepted residential students for the autumn term of 1965. The original buildings were designed by Sir Andrew Derbyshire of Robert Matthew Johnson-Marshall & Partners, and assembled using the CLASP system of prefabricated construction.
