NOTES: E. M. Barry's designs for the museum were placed second in the competition. The winning designs were by Deane & Woodward. This drawing may have been one of the drawings Barry exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts, London, in 1855 (nos. 1236 and 1272, Design; Oxford University Museum).
