Complesso di San Michelotto, Lucca: the cloister

NOTES: The cloister is part of a monastic complex dedicated to the Poor Clares. The church was founded in the 8th century, but was rebuilt over the centuries. The present church (not seen) is largely 18th century, but the 15th century cloister with its octagonal shaped piers remains.
