NOTES: Conwy Castle was built in 1283-1289 as part of King Edward I's second campaign in north Wales. It was designed by James of St George. Conwy Bridge, a suspension bridge of steel construction, was designed by Thomas Telford and built in 1822-1826. The Conwy Railway Bridge, designed by Robert Stephenson and completed in 1848, runs parallel to Telford's bridge.
