NOTES: The Co-operative Insurance Society (CIS) tower when built, was at 400 feet the tallest office building in the country. It was designed by Gordon Tait of Sir John Burnet Tait & Partners and G. S. Hay, Chief Architect of the Co-operative Wholesale Society (CWS). The design of this area was carried out by Patrick Reardon from the Design Research Unit. The carpet is gold, panelling is white formica, doors are teak veneer with each flanked by a panel of green rough-cast glass.
