Notes NOTES: Oliver Hill designed this scheme while he was a third-year evening class student at the Architectural Association. Marble Arch was designed as a ceremonial gateway to Buckingham Palace by John Nash. It was rebuilt on its present site by Thomas Cubitt in 1851.
