NOTES: In the 1860s after the third John Morant had succeeded to the estate he engaged T. H. Wyatt to remodel the house in the French chateau style and also did considerable alterations to the parkland planting. The Victorian wing of the house designed by Wyatt for Morant was demolished in 1936 and the rest of the house in 1958 prior to a new building being erected on the site.
