Design for alterations and additions to Barrells House, Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire, for Robert Knight: plan and elevation of the entrance front

RIBA95917
Bonomi, Joseph (1739-1808)
NOTES: The alterations and additions to Barrells House virtually amounted to a complete rebuilding of the mansion, the old house being converted into the offices and a chapel. Barrells was an austere house of brick faced with stucco, its sole ornament being the two-storey stone portico which was dismantled in 1856. Barrells House was abandoned in 1933 following a fire and was reconstructed from 2005.
