NOTES: Robert Dudley, Lord Leicester died in 1588 and is buried in the Beauchamp Chapel in St Mary's Collegiate Church, Warwick. The tomb was erected after his death by his widow and this design may in fact be a survey drawing, perhaps made at Lady Shrewsbury's request as a pattern for her own tomb.
