NOTES: When the cinema with its large Art Deco auditorium opened in 1934 there was a large cafe and a dance hall at first floor level, and shops and a spacious foyer at ground level. The cinema closed in 1969 and was then used as a bingo hall. This too closed and in 1988 the Bath City Church took over the building which now houses a church and concert hall in the auditorium, and dance school and various community rooms in the former cafe and dance hall areas.
