NOTES: This memorial was designed to commemmorate the officers and men of the Indian Army who died in the Sinai and Palestine Campaign of World War I. It was destroyed by the retreating Egyptian army during the Six-Day War in 1967 and later relocated to the Heliopolis War cemetery in Cairo. The sculptures were by Charles Sargeant Jagger.
