NOTES: Sir James Wright built the house for his son, Sir George. The project was one of Papworth's first buildings, although working as 'clerk of the works' for soon to retire City architect Philip Norris, he took complete charge of the building. The drawing suggests that the lodge was a reworking of an existing building, rather than a new-build.
