NOTES: In 1831 Wyatville and others gave evidence to a Parliamentary Select Committee on ways of altering the old House of Commons. Two years later he gave evidence supported by designs based on the sketches he had prepared for his 1831 evidence. The 1834 fire meant a new building was required, not alterations to an existing one.
