NOTES: The 'old' London Bridge is shown here both in its original form (surmounted by houses) and in its 're-edified' state following alterations in the 1760s. The 'old' Blackfriars Bridge was built in 1769 by Robert Milne and the 'old' Westminster Bridge in 1750 by Charles Labelye. This engraving was produced for John Noorthouk's publication 'A New History of London' (London, 1773).
