Notes NOTES: By the end of the 1730s the castle was in ruins. The castle chapel, however, was repaired and brought back into use in 1779 and later became a museum of curiosities. The print must date between 1829 and 1858 when G.E. Madeley, the lithographer, was in Wellington Street, the Strand, London.
