Notes NOTES: Decimus Burton with Joseph Paxton designed the Great Conservatory at Chatsworth for the 6th Duke of Devonshire (built 1836-1840). Benjamin Currey was the Duke's auditor. The last page of this letter was written on the back of a crossed out letter to the Secretary of the Reform Club, dated 22 June 1836. The Great Conservatory was demolished in1920.
