Notes NOTES: The Big Ben clock tower was completed by Sir Charles Barry in 1858 based on designs by A. W. N. Pugin. Michael Hopkins & Partners were repsonsible for the design of Portcullis House, which incorporates Westminster underground station, completed in 2001.
