Notes NOTES: This pier, one of the two on Brighton seafront, was cut off from the shore, partly for safety reasons, in 1975. The structure suffered a severe partial collapse during a storm on the 29th December 2002 and a further collapse on 20th January 2003. The pier was irreparably destroyed by fire on the 28th March 2003.
