NOTES: Former Augustinian priory founded 1229, dissolved in 1536. The surviving buildings date from the 13th and 16th centuries. It was sold to Thomas Sackville First Earl of Dorset and remained in the family until 1896 when it was acquired by James Gwynne, who employed the architect Walter Godfrey to undertake its restoration. The barn is medieval in origin.
