Muchelney Abbey, Langport, Somerset

NOTES: This Benedictine abbey, the second largest in Somerset, was founded on the island of Muchelney in the Somerset Levels in the 8th century. The abbot's lodgings were completed in the sixteenth century before the Dissolution of the Monasteries.
