NOTES: New Scotland Yard was built in two phases, the North Building (1890) and South Building (1906). It was the headquarters of the Metropolitan Police until 1967 and from 1979 was known as the Norman Shaw Buildings and used as Parliamentary offices. See RIBA102695 which shows the same image, but with the entrance gates. Here they have been removed, probably for restoration.
